I am a celebrant, trained and accredited by the UK Society of Celebrancy.
Communication has always been at the heart of my work, having fronted conferences, events and training courses. I love meeting and working with people and celebrate human diversity in all its richness. I easily build rapport with people and have a very natural and easy style that enables me to engage with others. I am very organised in my work and have real attention to detail which is essential when organising and delivering that perfect ceremony.
I began my career in management with a High Street Retail Store and it was within this environment that I learned to deal with people, listening to their needs to ensure that the highest levels of customer service were delivered to each individual customer.
I then moved to the Civil Service, to the Land Registry, where I spent 20 years of my career. The Land Registry is a customer facing agency dealing with the legal profession and the public and once again customer service (speed, accuracy and efficiency) were all important.
During my time with the Land Registry I moved into Training and Development.
I then joined national charity, Victim Support as The National Staff Development Manager. This included training others in key communication skills. This not only focused on enhanced listening and empathising, but also empowering and enabling others particularly in difficult and highly emotional circumstances, including those bereaved by crime.
Over my career I have acquired many skills and much knowledge but added to all of this is my attitude to my work. I am passionate about professionalism and loyalty and ensuring that the needs of individuals are met so that whatever service I am delivering for you is bespoke to you.
